International Atomic Energy Agency
The International Atomic Energy Agency was established in 1957 after the famed "Atoms for Peace" speech to serve as a regulatory body controlling the world's usage of nuclear power. The council oversees everything nuclear in nature, ranging from weapons to positive environmental usage. The topic of nuclear power brings up some of the most pressing debates to date. Is limiting the spread of nuclear weapons truly leading the world to a safer future or is such an agreement an attempt by global powers to suppress developing nations? How safe and practical is nuclear energy usage in non-lethal situations?
