The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the judicial organ of the United Nations, located at The Hague, Netherlands, which was established in June 1945 and began work in April 1946. Simulating the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, CIMUN's International Court of Justice allows delegates to explore a specific legal dispute between Member States within an international law framework, so that they could then give advisory opinions on legal questions by taking on the roles of either judges or advocates during the Conference.
